Tampa Bay, FL Fishing Report
Captain Joe Brandenburg
Just got a new hookup for an area that I've fished pretty close to, but never actually fished the Bay or Offshore at Tampa, FL. I hope to get some great fishing reports and photos from seasoned, veteran Captain Joe Brandenburg soon so I can give you the skinny on fishing this area if you happen to be there on vacation, business, or family. His website is found at:
I was able to make this connection through a former college basketball teammate I played with at Georgia College/Milldegeville, GA. His name is Don Brandenburg and he was one heck of a baller back then. Don is Captain Joe's cousin and gave my brother the contact info for the Captain. We are planning on putting the Tampa/Tampa Bay, Fl fishing forecast/report up on our website here at the Georgia-Florida Fishing report and giving him some time in our newsletter as well each month. Can't wait to get this inside report from one of the best captains in the area. Looking forward to it!
The closest I have fished to Tampa would be Sanibel and New Port Richey, FL. Both of these cities are located on the Gulf of Mexico with Sanibel being a little further south of Tampa and New Port Richey a little to the north of Tampa. Caught some nice snook fishing from the beach at Sanibel and a bunch of nice spotted seatrout in the grass flats at New Port Richey.
