Just got back from my first follow-up after the kidney transplant. Feeling pretty sore, but it looks like everything is right on schedule.
Thought I would give you an update on the state of my Georgia-Florida Fishing Report website.
I've finally started working on some of my favorite Gulf Coast of Florida fishing spots. If you go to the Carrabelle/Lanark Village, FL page and hover over it, you will see a couple of new pages-Lodging and Restaurants. There is some new info on those 3 pages concerning the local area and reasonable lodging opportunities as well as some of the finest (and cheapest) seafood restaurants you could ever ask for.
Two of my favorite places to stay are the Navy Barracks Units in Lanark Village and the Sands of Carrabelle in Carrabelle, FL. The Navy Barracks is bare bones minimum lodging, rough, but dirt cheap. The Sands of Carrabelle are a number of relatively new townhomes with all the luxuries of home. It is more expensive, but the setup they have there is worth the price of admission.
As far as restaurants go, there are links to some of the eateries for both Panacea and Carrabelle, FL. Probably my favorite is Posey's in Panacea. It's a little bit of a drive if you're staying in Carrabelle but it is certainly worth the extra effort. All these seafood restaurants offer great prices, generous portions, and the freshest of fresh seafood. Make sure to check them out when you visit the area.
I'll begin working on a fishing tips/techniques/baits/etc page for Carrabelle/Lanark Village as soon as I feel that the other 3 pages are up to snuff and working properly. If you find a broken link that doesn't take you to the correct place, please let me know. I call myself checking all of them, but I'm really a techno-idiot.
Hope you enjoy some of the new stuff on the Georgia-Florida Fishing Report.
Get out there and catch a big 'un.
